About Me

This is me – Kelly, and these are my two boys: Corey and Cole.

Before I was a self-employed Faker Baker (and became a Mum) I worked as a graphic designer, mostly in the media.
I came from a time where anyone creative became a graphic designer because the only other option was to becoming a starving artist. Thankfully, the world has evolved and realised that creatives are just as important as everyone else and social media was invented – so we can all live the lives we choose. 

Making fake food began as a hobby. I started working with resin more than 10 years ago when there were almost no tutorials. I am self-taught and have learned everything I know from years of failed experiments and determination and have loved every minute. It's an expensive hobby though and I was just making things that I liked, so I started selling the things I was making to pay to make more things – crafting, it's a vicious cycle – but it turns out that other people also liked those things I was making ... and here we are.
