Make Your Own Minion Christmas Decoration

What you need:

  • Kinder Surprise (Just the yellow plastic outer egg bit, you can eat the chocolate and ditch the toy)
  • Blue Posca
  • Black Ink Pen (Sharpie)
  • Brown Felt (Sharpie)
  • Glue Gun
  • Red Felt
  • White Felt
  • White Card
  • Pom pom
  • Washer
  • Black Felt (or I actually used inner tyre tube because I had it lying around!)
  • Cord or ribbon for hanging

Step One:
Draw on overalls with blue, trace around washer on paper, draw a wee eye on it, cut out and stick to the back of the washer.

Step Two:
Cut a thin strip of black (whatever) and hot glue it around the back of your Minion's head, covering seam with the eye at the front.

Step Three:
Cut out Santa Hat shape in red felt and strip of white felt. Glue the two straight lines of hat together, let dry and turn inside out (alternatively you can sew this, up to you). Glue onto Minion's head with seam at the side, where hat will fall.
Fold white felt in half (lengthways) and glue seam to make tube. Glue around rim of Santa hat, with seam on the inside and ends at the same side as where your hat will fall. Trim end. Fold your cone-shaped hat over to hide the ugly bits (seams, glue etc) and secure with a spot of hot glue and pom pom.

Step Four:
Add details such as buttons on overalls, pocket at front, etc, as you wish.
Use a fat needle to thread some silver cord through hat at top and tie to hang.

There you go, a Chrissy deco that's one in a Minion ... LOL.
